About the Journal

Journal of Efes Sport Sciences (JEFES) is a peer-reviewed, scientific, and international electronic journal that publishes original research articles and review papers aiming to contribute to the field of Sports Sciences.

JEFES aims to provide a significant resource for the development of all aspects of sport by bringing together topics that contribute to educational, applied, and theoretical areas of sports:

  • Publishing articles covering a wide range of topics,

  • Publishing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, single-subject methodological studies, and critical review articles that provide theoretical contributions to the field and bridge theory with practice,

  • Providing a forum for publishing original research from an international perspective in areas such as:
    Training Science: Exercise Physiology,
    Physical Education and Sports Education: Skill Learning, Physical Activity and Health, Physical Fitness, Movement and Training Science,
    Sports Nutrition and Doping, Sports Genetics, Educational Games, Sports Education, Sports Management: Sports Economics, Sports History, Organizational Behavior in Sports, Recreation Management in Sports, Consumer Behavior in Sports,

  • Bringing together international authors and readers from various disciplines and professional fields to better understand important issues in sports.

Considerations in the Evaluation Process

  • The originality of submitted and published articles will be taken into consideration.

NOTE: JEFES requires an Ethics Committee Approval Report for scientific research. Submitted manuscripts must also comply with our Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policies. Manuscripts that do not comply with these policies will be returned without being evaluated.

JEFES accepts manuscripts only in English and Turkish. Authors must use only one writing style in their manuscripts (British English, American English, or Turkish).

No publication fee is charged from authors for studies published in the journal.

Publication Frequency [Biannual]

As of 2026, issues will be published in March and October.

Registration and Submission

Please register at www.efesjournal.com. After creating a membership, authors may submit their manuscripts through our website by preparing their articles according to the relevant journal templates and submission files.
